Always Chillin!
We are a herd of Alpacas that live in Grantsburg, Wisconsin! There have been up to 35 of us over the past 8 years, but in 2020 and 2023 some of us went to new homes due to the health issues of our humans (pssst, they are getting old). We don't usually spit, so you don't have to worry about that! Well, maybe at each other over food.
We have an unlikely habitat in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where our people have raised us for 8 years and make amazing, tried and true alpaca fiber products from our awesome fiber. Check them out!
About Our Caretakers
In true 'fur' baby fashion....our super humans look after us in insect-infested heat and humidity and in sub-zero temperatures. We have the best caretakers! Their names are Steve & Karin Reinert. They are self-made ranchers who thrive on loving people and animals. Karin is a stage 4 cancer survivor and we came to her while she was fighting cancer. She attributes her miraculous journey to having us!
They never expected to have an alpaca ranch and found themselves over the past 8 years, creating a home for us, breeding amazing crias (baby alpacas) offering tours and selling beautiful artisan handmade gifts with our hypoallergenic fur when we are sheared annually. We are healthy and happy and would love if you bought some of our amazing alpaca fiber products! Trust us, our socks are the best! How do you think we stay warm when its -30 for weeks at a time?
Handcrafted Soaps added in 2023
We In 2023, we added a 25 year old soap making recipes to our farm store products. The former soap company was Caroldon Soap Company, which began in 1999 in Elk River, MN with former soap extraordinaire Carol Thomas and her husband Don. We are carrying on her soap legacy for amazing, good for your skin, everyday soaps with our soap company "It's Just Soap" by Always Chillin. We even felt some with alpaca fiber for a natural, anti-microbial loofa. Another amazing use of our alpaca fiber.
